  • 1 can 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Pumpkin Mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, sugar, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Assemble the Cake:
  1. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.
  3. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
